Göteborgs-Posten is one of the most influential newspapers in Sweden with a legacy going back to the early 1800’s. Facing a new reality it needed to re-discover and re-energise what real journalism is all about. Ojity created a new forward-facing brand platform and a design system for all customer interactions.
Information does not want to be free
Göteborgs-Posten was founded in 1813 and has since been one of the major newspapers in Sweden. But the traditional media is facing a difficult reality. Information is available everywhere. The Internet and social media provide unmatched reach. Print and distribution costs are increasing as volumes go down. And the business model of giving away digital content for free is broken.

We rebuilt the Göteborgs-Posten brand around one central idea: Real journalism makes a difference. And when information is everywhere, validated unbiased in-depth knowledge is hard to come by. That’s why Göteborgs-Posten and all its employees have an important part to play in the 21st century.
